Apology to fans affected by True Blue Travel issue

The club is aware of problems experienced by supporters travelling to yesterday’s game at Altrincham with True Blue Travel.

Following a freak incident, one of the coaches developed a mechanical fault during the journey, resulting in passengers being unable to make it to the game.

Chief executive John Croot has issued an apology and outlined the steps being taken to recompense those affected.

He said: “On behalf of the club and the coach operator, I would like to sincerely apologise to those who were inconvenienced as a result of the coach breaking down en route to Altrincham.

“This falls short of the usual high level of service provided by True Blue Travel.

“A full refund on both the cost of the travel and a match ticket will be provided. As a gesture of goodwill, we will also issue a voucher to be redeemed on the concourse at a home fixture.”

Those affected will be contacted during the coming week to arrange the refund and voucher.
