James Rowe was pleased with his side’s performance in yesterday’s 2-0 victory at King’s Lynn Town, which made it three wins out of three for the Spireites so far this season.
Kabongo Tshimanga scored in either half to take his tally to three goals in as many games since signing from Boreham Wood.
Commenting after the match, Rowe said: “It was a really efficient away performance. We minimised shots on our goal and let them have the ball in certain areas.
“When they came into the top end of that middle third, we reacted really well and turned it over really well.
“We wanted to start the second half quickly because we knew the opposition were at home and they were going to come at us.
“It’s something we’ve worked on with George on the diagonal and back to Kabongo, which was a great goal for us.
“It calmed the nerves or any nerves there was going to be in the second half. I thought we were in the ascendency and it was a really strong performance.
“We’re adapting to the opponents but also our DNA is clear. We’ve got high pressure in certain thirds of the pitch and we’re adapting where the confrontation line is. There was a nice variety to our game.”
