Chairman Mike Goodwin has issued the following message relating to the club’s crowdfunding initiative, which was launched yesterday…
After John Croot and I sat down for a chat with the manager and found out that we needed to upgrade the equipment used for sports science and analysis purposes, the decision was taken to make an appeal to supporters for assistance.
This was due to the fact that it was an expense that had not been budgeted for and it was something tangible for supporters to see that they had contributed to.
I am delighted to say that just over 24 hours after the appeal was launched, we have now gone past the halfway mark towards our target of £10,000!
The response from supporters has been absolutely fantastic and on the behalf of the board and the management team, I would like to express sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed.
I have made a contribution to the fund, as have other people at the club and donations are coming in on a regular basis.
The money raised so far is enough to pay for equipment such as an interactive whiteboard and a telescopic video camera tripod. If we reach our target, it will enable us to replace all the outdated GPS equipment.
Thanks once again to everyone who has made a contribution.
Mike
