Defender agrees deal to sign for Spireites

Central defender Jamie Grimes has agreed to sign for the Spireites after ending his spell at Hereford.

Grimes, who played for Hereford in the FA Trophy final at Wembley last month, said: “I’m really excited to be here. It feels like it’s a club going in the right direction and want to be a part of it.

“I pride myself on being very strong aerially and I like a battle. I love a clean sheet and anything else is a bonus.”

The 30-year-old’s former clubs include Ebbsfleet United, Macclesfield Town, Cheltenham Town and Dover Athletic.
