James Rowe has made defender Gavin Gunning his latest signing for the Spireites.
Gunning, who started out at Blackburn Rovers, was a free agent after leaving Gloucester City.
He has had spells at various clubs including Rotherham United, Grimsby Town, Port Vale and Dundee United.
The 29-year-old Irishman has penned an 18-month contract.
