Chesterfield’s FA Cup tie against Stockport County will have to be replayed after the charge of a breach of FA Cup Rule 15(j)(i) was proven, in so much that Jordan Cropper played in the match with the club having not submitted a copy of the loan permission to The FA prior to the Registration Deadline in breach of Competition Rules.
The fourth round qualifying tie will be replayed on Wednesday without the involvement of Jordan Cropper.
Chief executive John Croot said: “It is unfortunate that a technical issue resulted in an administrative procedure not being completed.
“The FA panel considered our submission, ruled that the tie would have to be replayed and we have to accept their decision.”
