Information for supporters travelling to West Brom

West Bromwich Albion coach directions

Home ground: – The Hawthorns, Halfords lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands. B71 4LF

Location of ground: Approximately 800 meters from junction 1 M5.

Coaches are expected to make their own way to Middlemore Road from Junction 1 of the M5 , turning left onto the Birmingham Road past the stadium and then right into Middlemore Road.

On certain fixtures police motorcyclists/specials will monitor coaches to the coach parking area.

Coaches will be parked in Middlemore Road, which is approximately 300 meters from the ground. (There is no charge for coach parking).

‘Away’ supporters should not be allowed to disembark prior to this point.

The usual restrictions on coaches travelling to and from football matches apply and these rules will be enforced by West Midlands Police.

‘Away’ fans will be accommodated in ‘A’ Block of the Smethwick End Stand.

For those fans travelling by private vehicle there is ample off street parking around the ground (prices are £4 and upwards).

Rail Travel:  There are two Railway stations within walking distance of the ground: – ROLFE STREET, which is approximately 1 mile from the stadium.

THE HAWTHORNS which is approximately 200m from the stadium. This station also has the ‘Midlands Metro’ line; away fans travelling into Birmingham can use this service from Birmingham New Street station. The Beeches Road Methodist Church (B70 6QE) costs £5, has CCTV and is a ten minute walk away and easy to get onto the M5 after the match.

Around the corner from the Vine is a St John’s Ambulance Depot (B70 6QX) offering parking for a fee (£5).

Alternatively you can also choose from a selection of private car parking spaces near The Hawthorns – including around 28 parking spaces which you can reserve for your visit from just £5.

Train & Metro

The trams will be operating a 15 minute service

The trams stop outside Birmingham New Street railway station ( Grand Central tram stop Stephenson Street B2-4JD)

The journey time from Birmingham to the Hawthorns stop is 15 minutes

The last tram of the evening to Grand Central stop (for Birmingham New Street railway station) from the Hawthorns is 23:58
