Keeper secured on new contract

Grant Smith has been secured on a contract until the summer of 2022.

The 27-year-old keeper, who initially agreed a short-team deal in January, is delighted to have put pen to paper.

He said: “I didn’t have a club for a while and the gaffer put his trust in me so I was really pleased when he said he wanted me to sign a contract.

“The lads in the dressing room are great and it’s a club which should definitely be higher.”

Smith started his career at Brighton & Hove Albion and has played for a number of clubs including Lincoln City and Boreham Wood.
