The Spireites earned a dramatic 2-2 draw against MK Dons at Stadium MK thanks to an added time goal from Will Grigg.
MK had a two-goal lead going into the break with Callum Paterson and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy finding the net.
Sam Curtis pulled one back in the second half before Grigg’s second goal of the season levelled things up.
New loan signings Curtis, Sil Swinkels and Sammy Braybrooke were all inserted into the starting line-up, alongside Lee Bonis who started on the bench against Oldham Athletic.
Another January addition in Freddie Ladapo also made the squad as he started amongst the substitutes.
An early chance fell the way of Chesterfield; Bonis played the ball through to Mandeville, but the captain for the day was unable to keep his shot down from a difficult angle.
James Berry came close to catching Craig MacGillivray out with a dangerous free-kick before the ball swung away from goal.
In the 19th minute, a deep cross from Adam Lewis fell to the feet of Ronan Dacry. The attacking midfielder looked to curl home, but his effort went well wide of the mark.
Ten minutes later, MK Dons took the lead with their first golden chance. Aaron Nemane’s pin-point low cross was diverted past Zach Hemming from close-range by Paterson.
Following the goal, Janoi Donacien went down with an injury and was replaced by Tom Naylor after receiving treatment.
The hosts doubled their lead a minute before first half added time. Hepburn-Murphy was given time from 25 yards out and unleashed a thunderous strike that nestled into the back of the net.
Paul Cook made his second substitution at the start of the second half as Dylan Duffy replaced Adam Lewis.
On the hour-mark, Darcy forced MacGillivray into a fine from a curling effort from the edge of the area.
Ladapo and Grigg were introduced in the 66th minute as they came on for Darcy and Bonis.
A minute later, Mandeville’s free-kick was headed home at the back-post by debutant Curtis to halve the deficit.
The Spireites battled hard to find an equaliser, but it looked like the goal just wouldn’t arrive.
However, with time almost up, Mandeville’s corner was headed in, via the crossbar, from just a few yards by Grigg to earn a point on the road.
