The Spireites have clinched the signing of midfielder George Carline, who was a free agent after leaving Gloucester City.
The deal sees Carline link up again with James Rowe after playing under the manager at Gloucester.
Rowe is delighted to have signed the 27-year-old, saying: “I have enjoyed working with George since the summer so once George became a free agent, we moved quickly to secure him.
“He brings a good balance and versatility to any team in the National League and I am looking forward to working with him once again.”
Carline said: “It’s a great opportunity for me with the size of the club and the ambitions that the new owners have got. It’s a really exciting time and I’m really looking forward to the challenge.
“I’ve enjoyed the short time I’ve worked under James. He’s a positive character who is working his way up and hopefully we can have some success.”
Carline, who hails from Derby, was previously at Solihull Moors.
