‘FC Pilsley 1966’ won the latest Spireites Quiz on Wednesday night, producing a late charge to steal victory!
The theme of the quiz was ‘Spireites internationals’ with 20 questions set by Phil Tooley.
Trailing leader ‘Croydon Blues’ by 44 points after the 15th question, FC Pilsley 1966 finished strongly to win, ending seven points clear of ‘Beachy’ with ‘The Back Headers’ in third place.
The winner of the ‘Wheel of Fortune’ – featuring the top 20 at the half-way stage – was ‘Rabbit Dave’, who will receive a Spireites notebook and pen.
‘PK’ also won a prize – the choice of either a Technique Stadium or Saltergate print – after being randomly selected from the list of last month’s quiz winners.
