Supporter Engagement and Communication Strategy

Following the previously published Supporter Engagement and Communication Strategy (SEC) a few months ago, we wanted to remind supporters of the importance of the strategy in making communications with the club work for everyone.

We look forward to being able to welcome supporters back to the SMH Group Stadium and we want to ensure that we develop a close relationship with, and understanding of, as wide a section of the fan base as possible.

As previously announced, Dr Paul Stankard is the director responsible for the SEC and Paul Goodwin is the supporter liaison officer; you can contact them via email at [email protected] or telephone Paul Goodwin directly on 07722 878620.

Any questions or comments we receive will either be answered directly or, in other cases, they will be categorised and presented as a standing item to the board on a monthly basis. Responses from the board will be provided to Paul Goodwin for communicating back to fans, or alternatively, in some cases, it will be made clear that issues/themes will be responded to in other ways such as podcasts or via the club’s website.

The strategy intends to provide effective and responsive communications on an ongoing basis and the club will also be looking to recruit fans to the club ambassador roles, which were outlined in the strategy, over the coming months. This will be an important part of the planning for an exciting and hopefully successful opening to the new season later this year.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible when it is safe to do so and, in the meantime, please take care and stay safe.

With all of our very best wishes.

Dr Paul Stankard & Paul Goodwin
