Trio signed on loan

The Spireites are delighted to announce the signings of Sam Curtis, Sammy Braybrooke and Sil Swinkels on loan deals until the end of the season.

The trio join from Sheffield United, Leicester City and Aston Villa respectively with them all immediately going into the matchday squad.

Curtis, a Republic of Ireland youth international, appeared at the SMH Group Stadium in pre-season for his parent club.

The right-back played 90 minutes in Sheffield United’s EFL Cup tie against Birmingham City in August.

During his time in the League of Ireland, he became one of the league’s youngest-ever players at 15 years, eight months and 13 days.

Braybrook, who joins from Leicester City, spent the first half of the season with fellow League Two side Newport County.

Despite the Welsh outfit’s league position, he thoroughly impressed during his outings.

The 21-year-old has scored two goals in 20 appearances during this campaign, including an outstanding effort from the halfway line against Colchester United last month.

Lastly, Dutch defender Swinkels has made the move from Premier League side Aston Villa.

The centre-back made 11 appearances during his loan spell with Exeter City in the first half of the season.

He most recently played in the Grecians’ 1-0 win over Luton Town on New Year’s Day.

Swinkels has been given the number 26, while Curtis will take the number 29 shirt and Braybrook will wear number 36.
