John Pemberton is encouraged by the attitude shown by the players as they look to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat against Maidenhead United when they travel to Altrincham this evening.
Looking forward to the game, the Spireites boss said: “They are all really good lads who are working hard and they all want to improve. I’ve not got a dressing room which is doom and gloom.
“They’re lively and looking forward to the next game. They know how important the game is and they know how important the results are to us at the moment and they want to turn it round.”
Pemberton points out there have been encouraging signs in his team’s performances. He said: “We have to work hard and we are working hard.
“We’ve spoken about trying to be better in possession and I think we’re doing that. We certainly look better in possession.
“They really believe that we’re not a million miles away. It’s not as though we’re not creating chances. We’ve got to be a bit more clinical and hopefully that comes.”
Josef Yarney is available again after serving a three-match ban while Nathan Tyson misses out again through injury.
