Chesterfield’s second pre-season friendly takes place this evening at Matlock Town (7.30pm).
The Spireites kicked off their preparations for the new campaign with a game at Alfreton Town on Saturday and the short trip to Matlock is always a popular fixture.
James Rowe will use the match to take another look at his options in the build-up to the new campaign. Several triallists played at Alfreton and some of them could feature again.
There will be a minute’s applause before kick-off in memory of Spireites legend Ernie Moss, who had a spell as manager of Matlock.
Admission will cost £10 for adults and £6.50 for concessions. Students (with a student card) can gain admission for £5 and admission for children aged 10-18 costs £3. Children under the age of 10 are eligible for free admission.
Please note that it is pay at the turnstiles by cash only.
For those travelling by car, parking on the cricket pitch is available after 5pm, costing £3.
