Jimmy McNulty spent his career as a solid defender in the lower leagues of the EFL The defender spent the last eight years of his playing career with Rochdale, making around 200 appearances. He spent a spell as caretaker manager of the Dale in 2022 before getting the job permanently following the club’s relegation from League Two.
One to watch
Ian Henderson’s is a name synonymous with Rochdale AFC. The club’s record goalscorer is in his second stint with the Dale. After struggling to pin down regular first-team football before moving to the Crown Oil Arena, Henderson etched his name into Rochdale’s history in his first seven years with the club. A two-year spell with Salford City followed before the striker made the switch back.

Jesurun Uchegbulam joined the Spireites in the summer of 2022 from fellow Derbyshire club Matlock Town. In his sole season at the SMH Group Stadium, he made 37 appearances and scored twice.
The winger started this campaign with Chesterfield – making a cameo appearance in the opening day victory against Dorking Wanderers. Uchegbulam made the move to Rochdale soon after and has played six times so far for the Dale.
