On Ian Dyer
Ian Dyer joined Woking as part of Alan Dowson’s backroom staff in 2018. The young coach became caretaker manager following Dowson’s departure in February 2022 and is once again in the role after Darren Sarll was relieved of his duties last week. In his first stint as temporary manager, he procured ten points from six games – including three straight wins. In this spell, he has so far seen his side fall to defeat against Oldham Athletic.
One to watch
Despite a difficult start to the season with the Cards, Padraig Among is still a threat in the National League with his natural goalscoring ability. The veteran striker has scored bags of goals in the EFL and has so far enjoyed his time in Surrey. Among will no doubt extend his tally between now and the end of the season as Woking go ahead with a new manager.
This season in numbers:

Yellow Cards – 0
Red Cards – 0

Current Woking man Jim Kellermann joined Chesterfield in the summer of 2021 as he looked to get back to full fitness. The midfielder became an integral part of the team that reached the play-off semi-finals during that campaign – as the Spireites fell to defeat against Solihull Moors. He scored twice in his 36 appearances for the Spireites.
Kellermann decided to join Woking upon the expiration of his contract and immediately secured a starting position. Woking flourished in Kellermann’s first season as they reached the play-offs before losing to Bromley in the qualifying stage. So far this season, he has played 13 times. However, he has not been part of a Cardinals matchday squad since the start of October.
View from the dugout
Danny Webb said: “They had a good season last year and for whatever reason they haven’t been able to fire on all cylinders this year.
“I’ve had good and bad experiences at Woking and hopefully it can be a great come 10pm on Tuesday night.”
