A look at the departing players (part one)

Following the conclusion of the very successful 2023/24 campaign, which saw the club secure promotion back to the Football League, the Spireites have announced their retained list.

We take a look at the players who will be departing the SMH Group Stadium when their contracts expire…

Luke Chadwick

The goalkeeper signed for the club after leaving Doncaster Rovers in the summer of 2022. Chadwick began training with the first-team and started learning alongside goalkeepers Lucas Covolan, Ross Fitzsimons, Ryan Boot and Harry Tyrer, as well as goalkeeping coach Dave O’Hare.

The young shot-stopper made his first appearance for the senior side in last year’s pre-season game against his boyhood club Sheffield United. Chadwick also started in the Spireites’ FA Trophy fourth round defeat to Welling United in January.
