Academy trip to Scotland

The youth team will be in Scotland from July 21-25, staying at the University of Stirling, taking part in several games against a strong level of opposition.
The university is known for its top-quality sports facilities and was designated as Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence by the Scottish Government in 2008.
The young Spireites will partake in games against Celtic, Dundee United, Dundee FC, St Mirren, Hearts, Hibernian and Edinburgh City, preparing for the beginning of the season in early August.
Justin Tellus, the academy’s head of recruitment & development, said: “We’ve previously been to Stirling and we’re looking forward to returning to the state-of-the-art facilities and facing high-quality youth academies.
“The games we’ve got lined up are against some of the best academies in Scotland and they’ll stand the lads in really good stead going into the season beginning a couple of weeks later.
“We will also be able to make use of the facilities at the university and engaging with their sports science department, giving our lads an added educational insight.”
