AGM

The Annual General Meeting of CFC 2001 Ltd has been held at the SMH Group Stadium.

The meeting of shareholders of the football club started with an inspirational film about the season, covered by the latest accounts. This was followed by a message from majority shareholder Phil Kirk, delivered by an emotional brother Ashley.

The annual accounts were approved without any votes against among those in the room and proxy votes. The resolutions to issue further share capital were also approved unanimously.

The meeting took questions including about the future of the club. Both Ashley Kirk, on behalf of his wider family, and chairman Mike Goodwin, told the meeting that the club was expecting a plan to cover five to ten years.

Those on the top table said there was no expectation of an immediate break-even, which is why the injection of £5m capital had been proposed, but the club planned for success. Work was being undertaken to refurnish the lounges to increase non-matchday income and there was a commitment to the relationship with the Trust and the wider community.

The members at the meeting recorded a message of thanks to the Kirk family for their support since they became involved.
