The annual Memorial Garden Celebration Event, taking place on Friday evening, will be followed by the opening of a heritage installation within the Chesterfield College (East) Stand concourse.
After the traditional celebration of players, officials and fans lost in the last year, a new feature remembering a Spireites legend will be unveiled in the garden. After this the new heritage display will be opened.
Several former players will be present including four of the ten players with the most club appearances. Those and other players, as well as the families of some no longer with us, will have the chance to recognise their contribution made to the club.
Players who will be present include Jamie Hewitt, Albert Holmes, Andy Kowalski, Sean O’Neill, Tom Fenoughty and Gary Pollard.
Everyone is welcome to attend the celebration and opening, which gets underway at 6.30pm. The café will be open before and during the event with the concourse bar open once the display is revealed.
