Attacking midfielder Armando Dobra spoke to 1866+ prior to the Tuesday evening clash with Grimsby Town.
Reflecting on the 1-1 draw with Tranmere Rovers on Saturday, he said: “Yeah, it’s disappointing because the performance wasn’t where it has been at in the previous weeks.
“But, you know, we’ve got a big game to bounce back and I feel like we’ve got enough in the squad to put in a really good performance and hopefully get the win against Grimsby.
“The manager doesn’t have to say too much to us about how important this game is for us and for the town. If we want to be in the play-off contention, this is a massive, massive game for us and we can’t think of anything else but three points, because our performance Saturday wasn’t good enough. So, we have to pick ourselves up and put in a big performance.”
Expecting a good atmosphere inside the SMH Group Stadium, the Albanian added: “Our fans always back us and we need them as much as we can tonight. From minute one, every tackle, every block we make and every attack we have, we need them because it’s going to be a tough game and we’ve got enough to get the three points and hopefully we can do that.
“We just need that hunger and desire. I think that’s the most important thing. We just need to want it more than them, because I feel like we can beat any team in this league. We just need to want it more than them on the day and if we pick ourselves up from Saturday and have a good positive result, then we’re right back where we want to be and we can push on for the last three games.”
Tickets for the game remain available here.
