Supporters’ Forum Member Luke Searston’s Awayday Guide
Fleetwood Town
What kit will we be in?
We’ll be in our blue home strip.
Ticket information:
Tickets can be purchased on the day at Highbury Stadium.
True Blue travel:
True Blue has sold out. Coaches will depart from The HUB at 10.30
Which stand are we in?
We are in the Parkside stand for seating at one side of the ground and Percy Ronson Stand for standing at one end of the ground. Fans on the terrace should use turnstiles 1-3 located at the junction of Hatfield Avenue and Highbury Avenue. Fans in the seating area should use turnstiles 1-2 located next to the main club shop on Park Avenue.
Getting to the ground:
The postcode is FY7 6TX. Come off the M6 at junction 32 and head onto the M55 towards Blackpool. Take junction 3 towards A585, Fleetwood. You’ll come to a roundabout with Blackpool and Fylde College on your left. Head straight towards Fleetwood, at the next roundabout take the first exit. A mile down this road you’ll pass Fleetwood Fire Station on your left, then branch left before taking a left turn onto Radcliffe Road. Take the next right onto Stanley Road and the stadium as at the bottom of the road on the left.
Please note, it is the Blackpool Airshow this weekend. Roads in and around Blackpool will be very busy so allow plenty of time for travelling.
Car parking:
There is limited street parking available around the ground including on Gordon Road (FY7 6UF) and Addison Road (FY7 6UH), be mindful of any restrictions in place. There are numerous pay and display car parks available around 15-20 minutes’ walk away.
Public transport information:
Fleetwood doesn’t have a railway station, so the nearest is located in Poulton-le-Fylde, 7 miles away. Most supporters travelling by train travel go to Blackpool North where they get to the ground via taxi, bus (routes 1 or 14) or by tram (may be restrictions due to Airshow please check before using tram).
Pubs for away fans:
At the ground, away fans are welcome in Jim’s Bar, otherwise it’s a 15-minute walk to the town centre where there are plenty of places to drink. Alternatively, there is Blackpool and then tram or taxi in to Fleetwood.
Food & drink in the ground:
Both stands have food kiosks selling a large range of hot and cold food and drinks. Alcohol is only available to fans accessing the away end in the Parkside Stand. Highbury stadium is a CASHLESS venue.
Programmes:
Fleetwood no longer produce a matchday programme.
Flag policy:
Please follow stewards’ instructions, flags cannot be on poles and must not be placed over advertising boards or safety signage.
