Young defender Miguel Freckleton has joined the Spireites on loan from Premier League neighbours Sheffield United.
The 20-year-old left-sided central defender has previous National League experience, having had spells on loan at Wealdstone and Yeovil Town last season.
After agreeing the move, Freckleton said: “I’m excited to get it done and I’m ready to get going. It’s a nice stadium and a good surface as well.
“I want to compete and be around players that are challenging me. I like to play football and I’m quick and athletic.”
Freckleton has been handed the number 16 shirt.
The deal is subject to FA & National League approval.
