Armando Dobra is the latest player to join Chesterfield’s new-look squad ahead of the forthcoming season.
The Albania U21 international midfielder has signed a two-year contract after being released by Ipswich Town.
After putting pen to paper, the 21-year-old said: “I’m buzzing to sign for such a massive club and I can’t wait to get started.
“I just want to enjoy my football. I feel like we can have a good season. I can’t wait to push on and see what this season brings.”
After playing under Paul Cook at Ipswich, he is delighted to link-up with the manager again.
“He’s a massive part in me coming here as he helped me a lot in the past,” said Dobra. “I personally think he’s an amazing manager.
“‘Robbo’ [Gary Roberts] also helped me a lot in my time at Ipswich. They’ve both helped me develop a lot.”
Dobra had a season-long loan at Colchester United last term, scoring two goals in 17 appearances.
