Everton keeper joins Spireites

Young Everton keeper Harry Tyrer has joined the Spireites on a season-long loan.

The 21-year-old is delighted with his move to Chesterfield. He said: “It feels amazing. It’s such a big club and I’m grateful to be here.

“I’ve spoken to Paul (Cook) and he’s a great manager. He’s told me what the plan is for this club and I want to be a part of that.

“We want to be top of the National League and get promoted to League Two.”

Tyrer impressed last season on loan at National League North club Chester, playing in all 46 league games and keeping 21 clean sheets. He was named in the Vanarama National League North Team of the Season.
