Experienced forward Freddie Ladapo has become the second signing of the January transfer window, signing until the end of the season.
With the deal being subject to EFL/FA registration, he will not be available for this afternoon’s fixture away at Oldham Athletic.
The 32-year-old has previously played for the likes of Huddersfield Town, Charlton Athletic, Rotherham United, Plymouth Argyle and Ipswich Town.
Ladapo has won three previous promotions from League One – two with Rotherham and one with Ipswich.
Speaking after completing the deal, he said: “It feels fantastic. It’s something that’s been a while coming.
“I’ve been training with the team for a little while now, so I’m glad that it’s over the line.”
Throughout his career, the Romford native has scored 141 goals in close to 500 appearances.
“I’m an athletic striker with a keen eye for goal,” Ladapo stated. “But it has been a strength of mine for a number of years.
“I’ve been able to stretch defences. I’ve been able to hold the ball up and I’ve been able to score a few goals in my career. So hopefully that’s something I can bring towards it.”
