Freedom of the Borough scroll hung in main reception

Exactly 26 years from the famous FA Cup semi-final match at Old Trafford, the scroll marking the awarding of the Freedom of the Borough of Chesterfield to the club was hung in the main reception.

The awarding of this great honour was to mark that historic Cup run.

Apart from individual awards, the Freedom of the Borough has only been awarded to Sherwood Foresters and their successor regiments and the Royal Naval ship HMS Danae.

The scroll has been brilliantly reframed by Abi Bespoke Picture Framing, Chesterfield’s oldest framers, based at Storforth Lane, Hasland.
