“It’s all about Rochdale now and trying to get back to winning ways”

Assistant manager Danny Webb spoke with the media ahead of Saturday’s clash with Rochdale and he began by reflecting on the postponement of Tuesday’s game at Halifax.

He said: “The reality is we have to take the positives. Games get called-off and to be fair so many pitches are in a bad way at the moment because of the horrid weather.

“Simply we have to look at the positives and get on with it. We’ve had longer to prepare and fully focus on Rochdale so that can only be seen as a good thing.

“Of course, naturally, we were all disappointed that the game was called-off and we never want a game to be postponed; we always want to play football.

“However, there’s literally nothing you can do. It’s totally out of our hands so we just have to get on with it and now focus on the next game. It’s all about Rochdale now and trying to get back to winning ways.

He also explained what he expects from Rochdale. “They’re a top side in this division,” he said.

“I think they play some really good football. They play a certain way and stick to their style and they’ll do that again on Saturday, I’m sure.

“They have threats all over the pitch. It’s all about getting three points for us and getting back to winning ways.

“It’s certainly going to be tough. We’ll focus on ourselves though and try to turn up and win the game.”
