Chesterfield Football Club are delighted to announce the loan signing of midfielder Kiano Dyer from Chelsea until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The 19-year-old joined Chelsea in 2021 and has spent five years at the London club, progressing his way up their youth ranks and making his senior debut for the club in 2024, coming on as a substitute for the Europa Conference League against Astana.
Dyer has also represented the Three Lions at U16 right through to U20 level, and bolstered his experience with a loan move to Eredivise outfit Volendam during the first half of the 2025/26 season.
Discussing the move, he said: “I’m excited to be here and I can’t wait to show everyone what I can do.
“I’m a high energy player in and out of possession. A creative midfielder. I like to tackle as well, get on second balls and make interceptions.
“At Chelsea, everyone is trying to be the best, so it only makes you better. It’s being around loads of players with a winning mentality, so being around that environment has only been good for me.
“For me, this move is about experience, winning as many games as I can for Chesterfield and just to get better and better.”
As well as fellow deadline-day signing Joel Randall, Dyer will be available for selection for Saturday’s game against Barnet. Tickets are available here.
