Midfielder agrees to join Spireites

Ryan Stirk becomes the second signing of the day and third of the summer, agreeing a deal with the Spireites after leaving Walsall.

The midfielder spent two years with Walsall and made 97 appearances for the Saddlers, scoring four goals.

His performances this season played an integral part in helping Walsall to the League Two play-off final.

After putting pen to paper, the 24-year-old said: “It’s nice to get it done. As soon as a I spoke to the gaffer, we got on straight away. His style of play matches how I want to play.”

Coming up through the youth ranks at Birmingham City, Stirk signed his first professional deal in 2020.

He had loan stints at Mansfield Town and Bromley before departing Birmingham at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

Stirk has won caps for Wales at U16, U17, U19 and U21 level.
