The re-dedication of the Chesterfield FC War Memorial in the Memorial Garden at the SMH Group Stadium will take place at 6.30pm on Monday.
Five additional players and officials will be added to the memorial stone, making a total of 21 commemorated who died in the wars of the last century.
The ceremony will feature a short biography of each of the brave men before their names are unveiled on the new memorial. Then the names of the 16 soldiers, four airmen and one firefighter will be read out along with their regiment or unit and their playing position and wreaths will be laid.
The dinner following the dedication has been replaced by a buffet in the HUB, which is free to those attending. Everyone is welcome to come to the event.
