The Spireites secured an impressive 1-0 victory over Aldershot Town at the Technique Stadium.
Liam Mandeville scored the only goal of the game, giving the Spireites all three points.
Joe Quigley had an early chance for the Spireites after driving into the Aldershot box but his shot was blocked.
Ollie Banks tried his luck from around 25 yards out with a powerful first-time attempt, however his shot went over the bar.
The Spireites had a chance when Branden Horton drilled the ball all the way across the box, finding Jeff King whose attempt forced a good save from Luca Ashby-Hammond.
Banks tried his luck yet again front range. His shot was dealt with by Ashby-Hammond who tipped the ball over the bar.
King had a great chance for the Spireites after cutting onto his left foot in the box, but he placed his shot over the bar.
Aldershot had a chance late in the half when Tommy Willard broke away from the Spireites defence going one on one, but he dragged his effort wide.
Armando Dobra tested Ashby-Hammond with a curling effort from the edge of the area, forcing a good save from the keeper, diving to his left.
Quigley forced an outstanding save from Ashby-Hammond after meeting the ball with his head, following a wide free kick.
The Spireites went into half time with the score 0-0.
Quigley had a good chance early in the second half after connecting with a cross from King but his header went wide.
Michael Gyasi came close to opening the score after sliding in to meet the ball at the back post, following a great cross from Horton but Gyasi couldn’t get his shot on target.
Joe Partington came close to putting Aldershot into the lead after heading the ball onto the bar, following a corner.
The Spireites goal came in the 64th minute when the ball was played over the top to Mandeville who rounded the keeper and squeezed the ball in from a tight angle.
Giles Phillips had a chance for Aldershot with a header that went over the bar.
After this impressive victory, the Spireites’ attention will now turn to Tuesday’s home fixture against Wrexham.
