Upcoming digital changes

At the start of September, the club will be launching an exciting new online presence, updating our fan experience both on matchday and throughout the week. While we are excited to share more information in the coming months, there are two changes taking place imminently.

Firstly, after launching on August 21, 2021, 1866 Sport radio station will stop airing after Friday, July 31, 2026, with the pre-season friendly against Scunthorpe United being the final match to be broadcast on the station.

Second, the club is moving audio and video streaming providers for the 2026/27 season. Next week, information will be shared on how to sign-up to listen/watch all of the action ahead of the Carabao Cup fixture at Fleetwood Town on Saturday, August 8.

1866 Sport has provided unrivalled coverage of the Spireites, offering music and entertainment throughout the week before a dedicated, in-depth show on matchdays with a range of free content for supporters. As well as covering the men’s first team, the station has also covered Chesterfield FC Community Trust, Chesterfield FC Women and Chesterfield FC Academy. We would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the station, including Phil Tooley, Josh Marsh, Ellie Yates, Jamie Hewitt, James Summers, Dean Pitchford and Tony McKenzie.

The fixture against Scunthorpe United on Friday evening (7:30pm) can be heard online, on the app or on your smart speaker.
