Assistant manager Danny Webb spoke to the media ahead of Saturday’s big home fixture against Barnet.
He began by reflecting on the impressive 1-0 win over Portsmouth in the FA Cup last week, saying: “It was a fantastic game and a fantastic occasion.
“I thought we started the game pretty average but we took the lead and from then I thought we played really well; it was a great team performance.
“It was a great occasion for us and the players. We believed that we could cause an upset and that’s exactly what we did.
“It was enjoyable and to do it on the telly made it better. It has been easy to keep the players feet on the ground this week, it’s been great.
“As soon as we came back in on Tuesday after a day off, the lads were switched on and already talking about Barnet, they were ready for the next game and the FA Cup game was out of their heads.
“It’s fantastic, we can’t wait for the game tomorrow.”
Danny also gave an insight into Barnet. “There’s no doubt about it, they’re a team going in the right direction,” he said.
“They play some good football and score lots of goals.
“Barnet have scored the second number of highest goals behind us and a lot of them have come through Kabamba, so we’re going to have to keep him quiet.
“It’ll be a great occasion. It will be tough, no doubt. I say it every week but we’ll be ready for them, focusing on ourselves and looking for three points.”
Finally, Danny discussed the fitness of the squad. He said: “Joe [Quigley] is back in training. Obviously that’s fantastic for us, we’re buzzing to have him back.
“He’s become a bit of a cult hero this season really and to get injured at the time he did was disappointing but he’s back now.
“He’s available for selection and everyone else is doing okay.”
