Danny Webb spoke with the media after the Spireites put on an impressive display, beating Derby County 4-0 at the SMH Group Stadium.
He began by reflecting on the performance, saying: “Just like when we lost the other two games, we won’t be getting carried away with tonight’s win either, although we are obviously very happy with the result.
“First and foremost, I thought the performance was impressive and we played some lovely stuff at times.
“We battled hard and played good stuff too, it was a great watch for most of the game.
“I was really impressed with the lads.”
Webb also reflected on Will Grigg’s performance and goal.
“It was great for him to get a goal,” he said.
“No striker wants to go pre-season without scoring, you always want to try and get one so that was great.
“I thought he was excellent tonight.
“Someone of his calibre always wants to get a goal and he got that tonight.
“That’s just one of the positives, there’s lots of them.”
