BC: “After being at Doncaster Rovers, I joined the club and managed to progress to the youth team.
“I’m now part of the U19 and U21 squads at the club and my aim is to become a professional footballer with Chesterfield.”
CP: “I started off my career as a central midfielder, playing for Ashover juniors. Then I moved back into a centre-back position where I have played for the majority of my grassroots football for clubs such as Ashover, Teversal and Brampton Rovers.
“I changed to a goalkeeper at around U12s when the team’s original goalkeeper decided he no longer wanted to play in goal, so I took on the role. I had trials at clubs such as Nottingham Forest, Derby County and Rotherham United.
“I played for Rotherham from U14 to U16, but I failed to get my scholarship. I then signed for the Spireites at the start of the season and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.”
DG: “My future targets are to sign a pro contract with Chesterfield or any professional club and progress through my career.
“Once I retire, I would like to still be involved with the sport on the management side.”
EA: “I believe that my physical attributes have got me so far and now I need to further improve them but also need to work on other aspects of my game. To become a professional footballer is my main objective.”
FF: “After being out for two years due to injury, I had a trial at Derby County before coming to Chesterfield and I am now playing with the youth team.
“My target for the future is to make my first team debut. I currently play for the U19s and U21s teams in the National League Alliance and U21s Development League.
I joined Chesterfield at U9 level and I have progressed to the youth team, developing into a composed and versatile player. I normally play at centre-back, but I am comfortable anywhere in defence. I have had many highlights at Chesterfield including winning numerous tournaments and being selected for the youth team whilst in the U16s.
“To help gain experience of men’s football, I’m playing for Chesterfield at U19 and U21 levels along with playing with Staveley MWFC in the Central Midlands League on Saturdays.
“My aim is to break into the first team and be a professional footballer and reach the highest standard possible. I am also a massive Chesterfield supporter so to play for my club would be a dream come true.”
HB: “My favourite game played in was away at Southampton in the FA Youth Cup for Rotherham United.
“I also enjoyed training and playing for the first team during pre-season and making my debut away to Belper Town FC.
“My target is to sign a professional contract with Chesterfield. I’m currently part of the U19 National League side and captain both the U19s and U21s at the club.”
JW: “I joined Chesterfield at the age of the 13 before joining Doncaster a year later where I stayed for 18 months.
“I joined Basford in February 2020 where I played until the following August, when I rejoined Chesterfield. My target is to be able to make a living from playing regularly at a high level of football.”
JB: “I played for Swindon until 2015 when I got a move to Chesterfield and I have played here ever since.
“An achievement of mine was playing for the U18s when I was 15. My target for the future is to get a pro contract at Chesterfield and progress from there.”
JB: “After a successful three years at Boston United, playing football all over the country and playing in tournaments in Arizona, I decided I wanted a new start and went on trial with Chesterfield, where I got asked to join the club’s U19 and U21 academy squads.
“My biggest sporting achievement was in May 2020 when I broke a world record and ran 31 half marathons in 31 days to raise money for NHS charities to help towards people struggling financially and mentally during the lockdown.
“My target is to sign a professional contract at the club or to earn a decent wage from the game and to play at the highest level possible for as long as I can whilst inspiring others to work hard and achieve their goals.”
KM: “My dream is to be a professional footballer with Chesterfield and progress to the first team. I’m currently living in Chesterfield after coming over from Ireland for the two-year football and education programme with the club’s U19 and U21 academy squads.”
LW: “I progressed through three teams in Ireland and made it to a League of Ireland team for the past two-and-a-half-years prior to joining Chesterfield.
“I’ll hopefully be looking to get a decent career out of football and to be able to earn a living from the game.”
LT: “After spending time with the ETC at the club for the past two seasons, I wanted a challenge to push up to the next level of football which was with the youth team at Chesterfield. I’m now part of the U19s squad at the club, competing in the National League Alliance.”
LC: “I would say my start to the season has been really good. I easily settled into an amazing set-up and a really good group of lads. I’m currently part of the U19 squad and also play with the U21s.
“My main strengths are one v ones, driving at players and creating chances for myself or team-mates to score. My aim is to sign a professional contract in the future and to inspire other players around me to aim for the top.”
NM: “I joined chesterfield at the age of nine and I’ve been with the club ever since then. I’ve had many great achievements with the club and won many tournaments including the Villarreal Cup and coming runners up in the Feyenoord Cup.
“My biggest achievement is making my youth team debut at 14 and scoring the winner. I hope to break through to the first team at Chesterfield and overall become a professional footballer. I’m currently playing for the club at U19 and U21 levels.”
PW: “Playing at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground and scoring a goal to win the game was amazing.
“I aim to develop as a player and exploit my attributes to become a dangerous and deadly striker and then aim to get a pro contract at 18 and then progress onwards to play at the highest level possible. I signed for Chesterfield after a successful trial during pre-season.”
RH: “I was at Sheffield Wednesday, from under 13s to under 15s. So far in my football career, I have been extremely fortunate to have certain experiences such as travelling all around England playing at some of the best facilities.
“My long-term targets would be to become a professional footballer and potentially break through to the Chesterfield senior team. I am currently part of the U19 and U21 squads at the club.”
