March begins with a visit from the Railwaymen, who make the trip across the Peak District in search of revenge following the Spireites’ runaway 5-0 away victory at the Mornflake Stadium, better known as Gresty Road, back in August.
Since matchday two, Crewe’s form has picked up significantly, seeing them tucked into the play-off positions in seventh place with just seven defeats all season. But with one win in their last seven, Chesterfield will be looking to capitalise on the visitors’ recent form and take all three points.

Chesterfield boast a decent record against Crewe, winning 42 of the match-ups compared with 29 defeats, and Blues fans will need no reminding of the five-goal performance they were treated with on the first away day back in the Football League.
The last home win against today’s opponents came in the 2015/16 League One campaign, where goals from Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Lee Novak and Connor Dimaio earned a 3-1 win over a struggling Crewe team.
Paul Cook has won three of his seven games against Crewe, drawing two and losing two, last tasting defeat with Portsmouth in 2017 (1-0).

With Crewe climbing up the table and knocking on the door of promotion once more, interest from other clubs in Crewe’s manager increased over the winter period, with the club confirming that Bell had turned down an approach from another club.
Since the turn of the New Year, Bell has guided his side to 16 more League Two points, with aims to return to the third tier.

Omar Bogle started 2025 strongly with three goals inside the first five days of the New Year, and is the club’s second highest scorer after the injured Jack Lankester (7).
The 32-year-old has over 160 goals to his name in a career spanning 13 seasons, and is a force to be reckoned with at this level having spent time in the Championship with Cardiff City and the Eredivisie with ADO Den Haag.
