MANAGER

Andy Crosby joined Nigel Adkins’ backroom staff at Tranmere Rovers in December 2024. After Adkins left the club in February, Crosby became interim manager and guided the club away from the relegation zone. In May, he was appointed as Tranmere’s permanent manager.

Mike Jones signed his first professional contract with Tranmere Rovers in 2006, after coming through the club’s academy. He had a loan spell with Shrewsbury Town during the 2006/07 campaign. The midfielder made 13 appearances before leaving Tranmere for Bury in the summer of 2008.

After impressing on trial, Jones joined Chesterfield in August 2022. He was part of the Spireites’ National League title winning squad during the 2023/24 season. The veteran played 66 times in his three years with the club – before announcing his retirement last month.
