Chesterfield Football Club, the board of directors and every staff member is responsible for the promotion and maintenance of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and Mental Health awareness across everything we do. To achieve the highest standards we can, we will commit to the following:
- Regular updates will be provided to the board around ongoing initiatives and activities focused on inclusion and support. These updates will be a standing agenda item.
- The EDI lead will work closely with the board EDI Champion to understand the impact of our work, and relentlessly pursue continued improvement, and compliance with our EDI and Mental Health policies.
- We will embrace learning from across the EFL, and promote the work of partners such as Kick it Out, and Level Playing Field.
- We will listen to our supporters, customers, and visitors. We will achieve this through fan surveys and supporter forums, and by remaining accessible for advice and support as required.
- Chesterfield Football Club will not tolerate any form of discrimination at our stadium, or in our online presence. We will address every report of breaches or suspected breaches of our policies and procedures, and we will remain open and transparent in our responses.
This approach will help us understand our environment, identify opportunities for innovation and growth, and create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and safe.
