Chesterfield travel to Cumbria on Easter Monday afternoon to face Barrow at Holker Street in Sky Bet League Two.
Chesterfield come into this fixture following consecutive 1-0 wins against Accrington Stanley and Cheltenham Town, in which Will Dickson scored the winning goal in both.
Relegation-threatened Barrow held promotion-pushing MK Dons to a 0-0 draw at Stadium MK last time out.
In the Spotlight
Danny Rose signed for Barrow from Grimsby Town in January 2026, after two-and-a-half seasons with the Mariners.
The forward has scored seven goals across all competitions this season, three of which have come after his transfer to Barrow.
32-year-old Rose scored the winning goal for Barrow against top of the league Bromley, which scored their first win since mid-February.
The gaffer’s record
Paul Cook has faced Barrow on four occasions as a manager, winning three and drawing once. Cook has never lost to Barrow.
All three of those victories came with the Spireites, and all ended 1-0. The reverse fixture saw Dilan Markanday score the only goal on the opening day of the season.
The draw came with Ipswich Town, who were held to a 0-0 draw in the second round of the FA Cup in 2021/22.
Man in the middle
Darren Drysdale will take charge of this fixture, assisted by Oliver Nolan, Karl Buckley and fourth official Dean Watson.
Drysdale officiated two games involving the Spireites last season. The first was a 3-0 loss to Accrington Stanley, and the second was the 4-0 win at Salford.
Danny Webb’s thoughts
“We’re looking at the top end of the table. If you’re looking down the bottom, it’s anyone’s to get relegated.
“Sam Foley has gone in and had some sort of reaction because they’re getting some good results against some tough teams and we’re going into town and they’ll certainly back themselves.
“They won’t fear us, they’ll respect us, but they won’t fear us. They’ve got nothing to lose, we’ll be the favourites. We’ve got to make sure that their relegation battle continues.”
