Supporters are invited to pay tribute to Spireites legend Ernie Moss at the Technique Stadium before his funeral service takes place on Friday afternoon.
Funeral directors Harold Lilleker & Sons Ltd have announced that they will leave their Whittington Moor funeral home at 2.10pm (marked A on the map below).
Ernie’s family and friends will be collected at point B and pass the former Saltergate ground (marked C) as they travel back to the Technique Stadium.
Supporters and friends are invited to gather outside the Technique Stadium by 2.50pm before a lap of honour and then a minute’s applause at 3pm.
The funeral cortege will then travel along Ernie Moss Way to Chesterfield Crematorium for the service at 3.10pm. Outside speakers will be on for those wishing to stand outside the service.
