U9s
Chesterfield U9s faced a well-drilled Brooklyn FC side but were dominant throughout and used their training to move the ball quickly, pass in between the lines and regain the ball when out of possession.
U10s
Game One
Chesterfield U10s continued playing their brilliant football, taking on Doncaster Elites in the JPL.
Futsal
Chesterfield U10s futsal team took on CHCS in the PokémonFutsal semi-final. With most of the players new to the futsal style of play, it was an impressive display from the young Spireites.
U12s
Chesterfield U12s travelled for their JPL match, as they faced All Skills Elite Academy, taking home a 4-1 win.
Goals from Richardson, Manlove, Thompson and Esberger completed a dominant victory over All Skills Elite, who could only score a consolation goal in the first half.
Despite not getting in on the scoring action, Todd continued his great form, being awarded the MOTM award.
U13s
A very different one for Chesterfield U13s. The two Chesterfield U13 sides were up against each other in the Futsal League, as Team Moss and Team Randall clashed.
In the end, it was Team Moss that came away 4-2 winners.McGovern, Oswald, Mathews and Mehan were on the scoresheet for the victorious team, with Charles grabbing one back for Team Randall and an own goal giving them another.
It was a thrilling game all round, showing the competitive side to both teams, with fast-paced football and some high-quality goals .
U14s
Chesterfield Midlands U14s took the lead in their battle against Halesowen, but a drop of intensity saw the opposition get back into the game and win 3-1.
Despite the bright start, the young Spireites fell behind in the final few minutes of the game and dropped points from a winning position.
The initial game plan was successful, but Halesowen showed their class, coming back from a goal down to win the game.
U15s
Game One
Chesterfield Yorkshire U15s carried on from their 5-3 victory over Qualitas last week, defeating 780 3-0 in the JPL.
Coye added to his brace from the previous weekend, pouncing on a weak defensive header back to the keeper in the 14thminute.
Brassey fired a pass to the back post for Schofield to fire home from close range on the half-hour mark. Schofield turned provider, as McGawn looped a header in for the second half’s only goal.
Millard earned himself the MOTM award with a clean sheet and being faultless at the back, with Hill also given the award for some good saves to keep 780 out.
Game Two
Cancello was on the scoresheet once again as Chesterfield Midlands U15s defeated Kidderminster Harriers 3-0.
Cancello and Baines helped the young Spireites to a 2-0 lead at the break before Wilkinson added a third to round off the win for Chesterfield.
U16s
Chesterfield U16s split the points in the JPL as they took on Gateshead in a 1-1 draw.
The first half was goalless but exciting. With it all to play for, Chesterfield pushed for all three points.
Wood scored Chesterfield’s only goal, but it was not enough for the win, as Gateshead got a goal to share the points in a tight affair.
