Former referee Keith Hackett is the special guest at next Monday’s Senior Spireites lunch.
Keith enjoyed a distinguished career as a match official, which included refereeing the 1981 FA Cup final and officiating at the 1988 European Championships.
After being a Football League referee from 1976 to 1992, he was one of the first set of Premier League referees for its inaugural 1992/93 campaign.
Following his retirement from refereeing, Keith became a referees’ assessor before being appointed general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials Board.
Keith will reflect on his career after guests have enjoyed a superb two-course meal.
