1866 Sport named official radio partner for BrightLife event

The club’s in-house radio station, 1866 Sport, is the official radio partner for the Champions Against Loneliness Awards event organised by BrightLife.

Mark Cass, who is the charity’s business development manager, explained what to expect at the event. He said: “The whole night is about recognising and championing those members of society who have been champions against loneliness.

“There will be live music and an auction, so it will be an entertaining evening as well.”

Bridget Ball, Chesterfield’s marketing manager, added: “We are delighted to be working with BrightLife and helping them recognise those have helped combat loneliness.”

The award categories are Champion, Champion Young Person, Champion Volunteer, Champion Medical Professional, Champion Carer, Champion Business, Champion Neighbour, Champion Family and Champion Charity.

The winners of the awards will be acknowledged and celebrated at the event on Friday, February 17 at Casa Hotel.
