Chesterfield Football Club can confirm that Armando Dobra has completed a move to Leyton Orient FC for an undisclosed fee.
The Albanian forward signed for the Spireites in July 2022 from Ipswich Town, scoring 39 goals in 165 appearances across his four seasons in North Derbyshire.
Most notably, the 25-year-old played a pivotal role in the Spireites’ National League-winning campaign, which secured promotion back to the Football League, scoring ten goals throughout the season.
Manager Paul Cook paid tribute to Dobra, saying: “I’m sure all supporters will be disappointed, as will the staff, to see Armando leave. We’re all so delighted for him to get his move, and happy for him that it’s a move back down south to where his family are based.
“His family have followed him so loyally throughout his four years at Chesterfield. We all wish him every success at Leyton Orient, and he’ll always be very welcome back at Chesterfield.”
Providing his departing words, Dobra stated: “After four amazing years, the time has come to say goodbye to Chesterfield FC.
“Thank you to everyone at the club, especially the fans, for your incredible support. Winning the title together and achieving promotion will always be a highlight of my career.
“I’m proud to have worn the shirt and will always have great memories of my time here, so thank you and all the best for the future. Up the Spireites!”
The club would like to thank Armando for his valued efforts and contributions over his spell at the club and wish him nothing but the best for the future.
