Chesterfield Football Club are delighted to confirm that 27-year-old full-back Remeao Hutton has signed on a permenant basis following the termination of his contract at Gillingham.
After signing with the club, Hutton said: “I can’t wait to get going. It’s been a few weeks now since I heard about the interest and obviously it’s taken a while, but I’m happy to get it over the line now.
“I know what the team is capable of. I know what they’ve done in the past few seasons; they’re always up and around it and hopefully we can get promoted together.”
On what the supporters can expect from him, he explained: “Athleticism, lots of crosses in the box. I just want to play as a team and wear the shirt and just get everyone on their feet when they’ve got the ball.
“When I’ve played here against Chesterfield in the past, they’re always hard games and there are lots of people here as well, so you can feel the energy”
Assistant manager Danny Webb gave his thoughts on the deal, saying: “Remeao is an attacking full-back who suits our style of play. He’ll add great energy levels and quality into the squad and bolsters our already strong defensive options. We’re all excited to working with him throughout the season.”
