The Spireites are back on the road again for a third time this League Two season, travelling to Boundary Park to face Oldham Athletic.
The Spireites come into this game off of the back of two home draws, the first being against Gillingham and the second was a thrilling 3-3 against Barnet.
Oldham have had a decent start to the season, winning twice, drawing once and losing twice. Their last outing ended in a defeat away at Tranmere Rovers.

Ex-Spireite Kane Drummond got off the mark with a strike away at Fleetwood Town that helped to secure the Latics a point.
Drummond scored three goals across both fixtures against Chesterfield last season.
Head-to-head
The Spireites only managed to pick up one point against Oldham last season, which came away from home in a 1-1. Zach Hemming saved a last-minute penalty to salvage the point in that fixture.
The most recent win at Boundary Park came in 2022, as Joe Quigley scored inside the first 60 seconds, which was followed up by a strike from Jeff King in the 8th minute to secure a 2-0 win.
Chesterfield had the opportunity to win the National League title at Boundary Park in 2024, but after going 2-0 down, only managed to come back to draw 2-2 and delaying the celebrations.

Matt Corlett will be in charge of this fixture, assisted by Jacob Lehane, Mark Cunliffe and fourth official, Declan Bourne.
Corlett has previously officiated the Spireites’ 3-2 over Notts County at Meadow Lane last season, in which he sent off Oliver Norburn.

“Football is about winning; it is all about the result at five o’clock. How you get there is a preferred choice. For us we were disappointed with the goals that we conceded last week, and I am sure Barnet would say the same about the goals we scored.
“When I watched Oldham’s game at Tranmere last week, with the greatest respect I don’t think they deserved to lose the game, but the score says they lost 2-0, but we are looking forward to the game tomorrow and we will be ready.”
