The annual Act of Remembrance in the Chesterfield FC Memorial Garden will take place on Thursday at 3pm.
The “kick-off” time is chosen to recognise that the 16 players, manager and director who gave their lives in the conflicts of the last century were footballers.
Wreaths from the playing staff and football club as well as from the supporters and the Trust will be placed at the War Memorial as part of the ceremony.
As is traditional in the Garden, the fallen are remembered by both their military rank and playing position.
Everyone is welcome to pay their respects along with the players, management, officials and staff from the club and Trust on Armistice Day.
