Chief executive John Croot has thanked fans who have helped to pay for new frost covers at the Technique Stadium.
An appeal went out for donations to help cover the £15,000 cost and over £11,000 has been received in total. The figure is made up of donations received online and other monies handed over, including a substantial amount from Bridge Inn Travel.
Commenting on the appeal, John said: “We’ve had a tremendous response, which is fantastic. It just shows the passion that the fans have for the club.”
John stressed just how important it was to replace the previous frost covers. He said: “It was critical with so many games coming up over Christmas and into the New Year.
“It does hit the cash flow if games are called over. It was something we’ve needed for quite a few years.”
The new frost covers are now being put into use by head groundsman Liam Reynolds and the ground staff.
